  • Minutes Used: Total minutes used this billing period vs. your plan's minute allowance
  • Usage Percentage: Visual indicators showing how close you are to plan limits

Tip: If you're consistently approaching or exceeding plan limits, consider upgrading to a higher tier. This can be more cost-effective than paying overage charges.

Changing Your Subscription

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time.

Upgrading Your Plan

Move to a higher tier to get more allowances and features:

  1. Go to Billing & Plans → Plans (or click Browse Plans from My Subscriptions)
  2. Review available plans and select a higher tier
  3. Click Get Started or Upgrade for the desired plan
  4. Complete checkout - proration is handled automatically
  5. Your new plan takes effect immediately

Proration

When upgrading mid-cycle, you're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing period. The difference between your old and new plan is calculated and charged immediately.

Downgrading Your Plan

Move to a lower tier to reduce costs:

  1. Go to Billing & Plans → Plans
  2. Select a lower tier plan
  3. Click Get Started or Downgrade
  4. Confirm the downgrade - changes take effect at the end of your current billing period

Note: Downgrades typically take effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll continue to have access to your current plan's features until then. Credits may be applied to your account for the unused portion.

Canceling Your Subscription

Cancel your subscription to stop future renewals:

  1. Go to Billing & Plans → My Subscriptions
  2. Find the Cancel Subscription button or option
  3. Confirm cancellation when prompted
  4. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  5. No future renewals will occur

Important: Canceling stops future renewals but does not immediately end your subscription. You'll continue to have access to all plan features until your current billing period ends. After cancellation, you'll need to use wallet funds for operations or subscribe to a new plan.

No Active Subscription

If you don't have an active subscription, the My Subscriptions page will show options to get started.

What You'll See

  • A message indicating you don't have an active subscription
  • A Browse Plans button to view available subscription options
  • Information about using wallet funds for pay-as-you-go operations

Pay-As-You-Go Option: Without a subscription, you can still use the platform by funding your wallet. All operations (calls, numbers) will be charged directly from your wallet balance at standard rates.

Best Practices

Usage Monitoring

  • Regular Reviews: Check your subscription usage regularly to understand consumption patterns and identify when you might exceed limits.
  • Plan Ahead: If you're consistently approaching limits, plan to upgrade before you start paying overages. This is often more cost-effective.
  • Monitor Trends: Track usage trends over multiple billing periods to predict future needs and optimize your plan selection.

Plan Management

  • Renewal Preparation: Before renewal dates, ensure your default payment method is valid and has sufficient funds. Update expired cards proactively.
  • Upgrade Timing: Upgrade mid-cycle if you're consistently hitting limits. Proration ensures you only pay for what you use.
  • Downgrade Considerations: Before downgrading, ensure the lower tier meets your needs. Consider usage patterns over the past few months.

Cost Optimization

  • Compare Plans: Regularly review available plans to ensure you're on the most cost-effective tier for your usage.
  • Yearly Billing: Consider yearly billing if you plan to use the service long-term. Yearly plans typically offer discounts compared to monthly.
  • Overage vs. Upgrade: If you frequently pay overages, calculate whether upgrading would be cheaper than continuing to pay overage charges.

Troubleshooting

Cannot switch plans

Checklist:

  • Payment method: Ensure you have a valid default payment method. Expired or invalid cards prevent plan changes.
  • Past-due invoices: Check for any past-due invoices or failed payments. Resolve these before switching plans.
  • Account status: Verify your account is in good standing. Suspended or restricted accounts may not allow plan changes.
  • Try again: Refresh the page and try again. Temporary issues may resolve with a refresh.
  • Contact support: If issues persist, contact support with your account details for assistance.
Usage numbers seem incorrect

Possible Causes:

  • Billing period: Usage resets at the start of each billing period. Verify you're looking at the current period's usage.
  • Update delay: Usage updates may lag slightly after provider callbacks. Refresh the page and wait a few minutes.
  • Workspace context: Ensure you're viewing the correct workspace. Usage is tracked per workspace.
  • Refresh: Refresh the My Subscriptions page to pull the latest usage data from the database.
  • Check Dashboard: Compare usage numbers with the Dashboard to verify consistency across different views.
Subscription renewal failed

Solutions:

  • Check payment method: Verify your default payment method is valid and not expired. Update it if needed.
  • Sufficient funds: Ensure your payment method has sufficient funds or available credit limit.
  • Bank authorization: Contact your bank to ensure they're not blocking the transaction. Some banks require authorization for recurring charges.
  • Update payment method: If the default card is problematic, add a new payment method and set it as default.
  • Manual renewal: Some systems allow manual renewal if automatic renewal fails. Check for a "Renew Now" option.
  • Contact support: If renewal continues to fail, contact support immediately to prevent service interruption.
